Pre-K Lesson
I started my student teaching experience in a remote Pre-K classroom. The students were Dual Language Learners and had an assistant teacher to translate. I created weekly letter activities to introduce them to the Alphabet. For my recorded lesson, we worked on Y. My goal was for them to begin forming letters and have an understanding of one-to-one correspondence of letters and sounds.
Pre-K Lesson
For my second lesson, we had been working on a bug and insect science unit. I created activities revolving around the lifecycle of a butterfly. I incorporated videos, pictures and our live class caterpillars. I wanted the students to be able to observe and describe living things. As well as, see and identify the changes the caterpillars went through. They created their own colorful lifecycles to share.
